Range Hours
The range is open year round from 10am to sunset. Please note the following exceptions.
Spring Turkey Hunting Season:
Range is open every day from 12:00 noon to sunset.
Archery Season:
Sundays 10 am - Sunset
Mon, Tues, Wed 10am - 2:00 p.m.
Thurs, Fri, Sat - RANGE CLOSED

Rifle Season:
Sunday 10:00 am - Sunset

Muzzleloader Season:
Sundays 10 am - Sunset
Mon, Tues, Wed 10am - 1:00 p.m.
Thurs, Fri, Sat - RANGE CLOSED

Note: Please exercise caution when the range is open during hunting season. Safe practice on the part of range users is to check the hunting log to make sure no one is in the woods behind the range. Safe practice for hunters is to not go behind the range when the range is in use. Exercise common sense and hunt and shoot safely.
Range Rules
If you intend to use the range, please make sure the RANGE IN USE sign is displayed upon entering the property.
1. The range can only be used during the appropriate range hours.
2. Junior members must be accompanied by a senior member at all times. Family members are permitted to use the range when accompanied by a senior member.
3. No fully automatic firearms are allowed on the range.
4. With the exception of hand guns, the range is limited to use for firearms typically used for hunting in Connecticut and/or competition target shooting.
5. No rapid fire is permitted on the range.
6. All safety guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
a. Any shooter should insure that at least one able bodied person is in the immediate area while shooting.
b. The use of drugs and alcohol is prohibited prior to, or while on the range. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol is permitted on the range.
c. Eye and ear protection must be worn by all persons on the firing lines.
d. Loaded guns are only permitted on the firing line. The only exception is for those carrying under the authority of their pistol permit.
e. The use of glass targets is strictly prohibited.
7. It is the responsibility of the shooters to pick up empty brass, cartridges, litter, and targets (except clay pigeons) prior to leaving the range.
Guest Policy
1. Members are permitted to bring up to two guests to the rifle range, only one of which can be a minor. Members with guests should be courteous to other members and grant right of way to the range to members ahead of guest shooters.
2. Guests must sign into the Guest Register kept in the range mailbox or Warming Hut, and pay a fee of $10 for use of the range for that day.
3. Guests must sign a Liability Release form prior to shooting on the range. Forms are available in the range mailbox or the Warming Hut.

Our archery range features multiple targets for both compound and crossbows. In addition, we have models of deer and turkey, and offer a ladder stand to practice shooting from an elevated position.
